Your intuition is so much more than a gut feeling. If you google the definition of intuition here’s what you’ll get: Intuition is the ability to acquire knowledge, without recourse to conscious reasoning or needing an explanation.

While this definition isn’t exactly wrong, and your intuition can come through the form of a gut feeling - this explanation is only merely scratching the surface and leaves us with limited knowledge of how, why and when intuition comes through. So in this article, I’m going to be sharing an introduction to what intuition really is…and what it isn’t. You’ll leave this article with a much deeper understanding of how and why you’ll want to connect with your own intuition - because it’s basically the equivalent of the Sims video game cheat code to life.

If intuition is more than a gut feeling, then what exactly is it?

Intuition is a lot of things - but to sum it up, intuition is essentially the language of the Universe. It’s spiritual science. While some of us humans may only speak one or two languages (and a lucky few that can speak even more), the language of intuition is universal - anything that has consciousness can speak it. And going back to the google definition I shared above, it states that intuition is the ability to acquire knowledge. But you may be wondering, how do you acquire that knowledge? First, I’ll share the scientific explanation for how you do that, and then I’ll share the spiritual way - because it’s both.

From the scientific perspective, we acquire that knowledge via light. Let me explain further. I’m going to take you wayyy back to your high school science class days. Remember how we learned that basically everything is matter? Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space - i.e. solids, liquids, and gases. Well, all forms of matter also carry light. And the cool thing about light is that it’s so much more than just something you turn on in your house to illuminate the room so you can see. It actually carries a ton of information - invisible to the naked eye of course. Intuition is the key to reading that invisible information.

Taking this scientific explanation one step further, while all matter has light, all light has electricity around it. This is why when we typically think of light, we think of the electrical process of a lamp lighting up a room.

So all light has electricity. To expand even further, all electricity has an electromagnetic field around it - so essentially, when you’re reading light via intuition, you are tapping into the electromagnetic fields that are developed from the electricity that gets emitted from light. If you’re somewhat familiar with manifestation, you may have heard this be referred to as an energy field, or maybe even someone or something’s “vibe” they give off. Who knew spirituality had some much science attached to it?! I was initially shocked as well, but it is so helpful for our brains to really start believing in the power of intuition once we’re able to realize that it is backed up by scientific facts like this.

Now let’s switch gears. From a spiritual perspective, you still acquire knowledge through light by reading these fields, but this also allows you to tap into the fields of energetic beings you never knew you could connect with. So, while the scientific perspective I shared outlined how you could connect to the information of the energetic fields of matter on this earth - such as people, objects, animals, the earth itself - you can also tap into the non-physical energetic fields as well. This is where intuition starts to get realllllly cool.

There are so many non-physical energetic beings you can connect to, but to name a few, the ones I’d say you are most likely going to want to connect with are Source (aka God, the Universe, whatever name resonates with you the most), your Higher Self, and other people’s Higher Selves. You can also connect to souls who have crossed over - aka the human body passed away. This is typically what psychics are known for. Also to clarify, when I say connect with, I basically mean communicate with. When you connect to the field of a non-physical energetic being, think of it like opening up the door to step into someone’s office to have a conversation with them. Or making a phone call to someone. You’re opening up the channel to connect with Source, your Higher Self, or another non-physical being. Without intuition, you wouldn’t be able to connect with these beings because they don’t speak human!

Going back to how I said that initial definition of intuition was just scratching the surface, you can see as I break this down there is so much more you can do and who you can communicate with for intuition. And there’s even deeper layers of how this works that I could get into, but for the sake of overwhelm, we’ll save that for another time. What I really wanted to share with you today is that intuition is the ultimate language you could ever learn, and it will open the door for you to access more information than you ever thought imaginable.

But here’s the catch:

Because the language of intuition is a bit vague and hard to distinguish compared to our traditional verbal and written human languages, how are we able to tell if we’re translating the information we’re reading right, or confirming that we’re connecting to the electromagnetic field we think we’re connecting to? This was a question I had wanted answered for so long.

Prior to my spiritual awakening, and even a couple years into opening up my spiritual gifts and increasing my knowledge on all things spirituality, neuroscience, manifestation - the whole gamut - I also had the limited perspective of intuition being that gut feeling that came in to tell you something. But the cool thing was, I knew I was intuitive because I’d get the craziest downloads of information. I was able to read certain things about people, such as if they had negative intentions towards me, weren’t being truthful, I even learned that my ex cheated on me from the craziest intuitive hit. And while these intuitive downloads were very helpful to my life, I couldn’t control when they’d come in. I didn’t have the understanding of why my intuition would catch some things, and why it wouldn’t catch other things.

And that’s what led me on my journey to become the intuitive energy reader I am today.

As my time in the spiritual world progressed, I began learning more about the science of intuition and how you could develop it to become extremely precise and accurate. As I strengthened my own intuitive skillset, I was able to use it when I wanted to, versus just waiting for a download to come in whenever the energy happened to line up right.

Building my intuition to become a scientific skillset was one of the best things I could have ever done on my spiritual journey. I gained an understanding of how to read my inner compass, distinguish what was my intuition and what wasn’t, and now have this ability to access information I would have never been able to access. All of this changed my life in the most amazing ways - and I’ve only just begun.

Developing my intuition has allowed me to connect with Source and my Higher Self so that I’m able to make the most aligned decisions and understand why things are the way they are, and how to change things so that I can create more of what I want.

Having this intuitive gift and building my skillset to develop it into a precise tool led me down the path to becoming the intuitive energy reader I am today. Now, I’m able to combine my transformation coaching with my intuition energy reads to give my clients the ultimate guidance that coaching alone could never do.

Using my intuition in my coaching sessions has allowed me to hone in on what my clients are really struggling with at the deepest levels of accuracy. Being able to read and understand all of this information that is typically inaccessible helps me create the most aligned blueprint for how I can help them navigate their personal transformation so they can shift the fastest and create their own dream life.
