Alright, guys, welcome back to today's podcast episode. I am so excited to share this one with you today because honestly, I've been talking about this for a while. I've been saying, like, if you've been listening to the podcast all along, you've probably heard me mention in previous podcast episodes discussing ego based desires versus heart led desires. And just
I don't know guys. I just feel like
after mentioning it here and there in the podcast and then also seeing how important it's been for my life and my manifestation decisions, my fulfillment levels, my happiness, and just being in alignment with my soul desires as well, you know, just getting deeper into understanding what the true meaning of life is, you know, connecting more with my higher self, connecting more with source and
just really growing to reach my full potential and really just be on my highest, most fulfilling timeline. This is such an important piece of it. And also in working with my clients, it has been pivotal in their abilities to manifest more fulfilling outcomes. and deciding, you know, actually maybe I don't want this. I want something else. the reasons
That this needs to be discussed on its own podcast episode are pretty much endless. If I knew this years ago, it would have saved me honestly a lot of mistakes. It would have saved me so much time. I would be in such a different place, probably. I would have had a lot less trials and tribulations. And just I mean, honestly, like, yeah. This would have saved me a lot of
Time and effort, this would have saved me a lot of disappointment in getting down one road and realizing it wasn't what I thought it was going to be. There's just so many lessons learned from heart-led versus ego-based desires. And I've had my own personal experiences with this extensively, and I've seen it in my clients as well. So I think I'm at this point where between
my intuitive knowings, my experience, my clients' experiences. I've been able to see this now at a couple different angles. And I think it's just time to really share a more in-depth explanation on these things that's going to help you guys have a more fulfilling life and not go down these roads and waste time and have to turn back around or just
end up on a path that is far off where you thought you were gonna be and you're just feeling really lost and really stuck. Like I wanna do whatever I can to prevent you guys from getting to that place. So yeah, I think that's really just setting the stage of truly how important this is. And I think that it depends kind of where you're coming from this, but I think that if you've been in the manifestation in the spiritual world, you probably haven't
heard this talked about, I'd say in the way that I'm talking about it. And I also think as someone who has been in the manifestation world, I've seen a lot of the stuff that people have talked about. You know, think back when I was taking in the information and first starting to learn about this stuff myself. I did not have anyone talk about this. And I think it needs to be talked about now more than ever you know, if you're familiar with my story,
You know that I got into manifestation to have more control over my life because I didn't know that I could create my own reality. I didn't know that life was there was more to life than just random stuff happening to you and like that's that. Granted, like if you don't have the tools, you don't have the knowledge, sometimes it does really feel like things are just happening to you. But at the end of the day
We are the creators of our own reality. And the more knowledge and tools that we have to understand how we're creating our own reality, the more power and capabilities we'll be able to utilize and really yield results in our lives. And so I think with that, you know, I got into manifestation because I felt like I didn't have control over my life and I felt like my life wasn't
Happening the way that I wanted it to be. And I couldn't really understand why. And I had a very low self image. I had very low self-love levels. And just I didn't really have a lot of belief or trust in myself in a lot of different things in life. And when I found manifestation, I was like, this is it. Like I will be able to have the life I want. Like all bets are off, right? And
And while I did do, I've told you guys this. And if you honestly, if you watched my most recent podcast episode where I talk about the self-love journey that I had, I did do a lot of healing that first year of my spiritual awakening. And that was really pivotal for me to call in my soulmate partnership. It was very important for me to manifest even some of the other stuff that I manifested. I had a lot of positive life changes in my life that year.
even before I decided to go into my manifestation coaching business full time, I was in HR and I had a lot of improvements in my career in HR. I had a lot of improvements in my friendships, how I felt, my energy levels, obviously my dating life, how I looked, honestly too. that's something I'll have to talk about at a deeper level at a later point, a separate podcast episode, but
When you love yourself and you believe in yourself and you start to perceive yourself in your fullest light, your cells respond to that and you will start to look like a more beautiful version of yourself as like not in the sense that you weren't beautiful before, right? I think it's just you start to peel away all of the out of balance type of things that are happening with your body. Like,
I don't wanna go too off on a tangent with this, but it goes back to that water experiment that someone did, some I think it was in Japan, where they said nice things to the water droplet and when it said like loving statements the water droplet turned into a beautiful snowflake and when more hateful words were said to the water it turned into like an ugly looking thing. So it's kind of like that premise, but
Yeah. So going back to my healing self-love, self-image journey that I had my first year in the manifestation world, I did a lot of healing, but I did not do in that first year the level of healing I think could really have only gone so far in terms of the tools and the knowledge and the resources I had at the time. And healing is a journey. It's not going to happen overnight. And sometimes you just you need certain experiences.
To really get to a full uncovering, especially when you've been living your life so asleep for so long, it takes time to really peel back the layers. And I also think that while I've experienced natural levels of intuitive abilities, I opened up my intuition so much more over the last couple of years. And so I just know so much more now than I did back then.
what I'm trying to say is that when I got into manifestation back then, I unknowingly still was manifesting some things from an ego based place. And I just wasn't I didn't have the level of awareness that I do now. I think that first year I was still learning, right? And now I have
years of experience on top of that and combined with really, really mastering and cultivating my intuition, like it's kind of like that song, I'm way too self-aware. Like the level of awareness that I have now is sometimes a lot, but I wouldn't have it any other way because I would rather be aware of when I want something from an ego-based place, a wounded b-based place versus a heart led desire.
I wouldn't I would never want to go back to not knowing that because I needed those experiences right back then too. Because I was able to see how that really played out. So now I can make sure I don't do that again in the future. And also that I can help others learn from my mistakes so they don't have to make those same mistakes them themselves.
that was just my little tidbit on how I love manifestation and it's just this stuff is not really talked about in the manifestation community. Maybe more on like a spiritual community level, but in the manifestation community, people are talking a lot about manifesting things and it's a lot of ego based external validation type of desires. And that
Is honestly problematic down the line. And I'll go into that deeper, but that's kind of the stage I wanted to set. Is if you've been in the manifestation community, you're gonna know what I'm talking about. And if not, then maybe you're newer to spirituality, you're newer to manifestation. Maybe you don't even really believe in the whole manifestation stuff just based on the way it's portrayed as well. With that frame of reference, I'm gonna be talking about
Things that you want for the wrong reasons, basically. You think you want something but you want it for a reason that is more of like a prove them wrong type of thing. I'm gonna show them or I need to do this because once I have this, then I can be happy. Like things like that versus things that you want from a from a whole place.
In order to dive deeper into this, I want to first define what I mean when I say heart led desire and ego based slash wounded desire. So ego based wounded desire.
So I get use those two words together because an ego-based desire is essentially a desire to
Make your ego feel better, basically. And this goes back to, you know, psychology of the brain. If you've ever taken a psychology class in college or anything like that, you know that there's the conscious brain, there's the subconscious brain, and in the subconscious brain is a lot of ego type of stuff.
And there's definitely a lot more that I could go into on our ego, our motivations of our ego, and all of that. But for the sake of focusing on the topic at hand, I think that what you need to know is that the ego typically does things from an external validation point of view. your primary function of the ego is to keep you alive and
What comes with keeping you alive is keeping you included in the community, right? We've talked about this a couple times before, in order to stay alive in the tribal days, you had to be included in a community. And if you were isolated, that probably meant that you were not gonna make it because of just how the primal world worked back then, right? That's kind of where
We talk about how our brain is still really operating from more of the tribal days, not necessarily the modern life. So your ego is always trying to keep you safe. So it's always looking for threats. when it comes to that, our ego in the modern day has a lot of desires to keep us safe by keeping us included in the mix.
So when you have an ego-based desire, you can expect that desire to be something for external validation, being validated by something outside of you, being validated by people outside of you, something like that. And a lot of times these ego-based desires stem from wounds. So internal wounds that you've developed based on experiences that happened in your life.
And so an example of that is the mother wound, for example, or the father wound. Something with your parents. so maybe you constantly felt like maybe you didn't measure up. Maybe you were the younger sibling and you felt like you didn't measure up to the older sibling for whatever reason. And so you build this wound around not being enough. And so your desires
stem from wanting to please your parents, wanting to feel enough by your parents. And if you really think about it, when it comes to the parent thing, like wanting to do something to please your parents in some type of way, that really makes sense that it would come from a survival based instinct because your parents took care of you and
If you felt like you weren't enough for your parents, you would have fears that they would abandon you. And if they abandoned you as a baby, as a child, then you probably wouldn't have survived, right? So it makes a lot of sense that even as we grow into adulthood, we have these motivations to please our parents and make them proud and make them make sure that they accept us, that they love us, and we have these deep seated fears of them abandoning us. This
them disapproving of us. Even when we could logically know that even if they disapproved of us for whatever reason, we're adults now, we can take care of ourselves, it's a learned response. It's more of a nervous system thing. It's deep in your body. It's deep in your subconscious. And it's so ingrained in you from growing up for the first eighteen years of your life that it's really hard to break those patterns.
unless you do this type of work. If you just go about your normal life, you probably aren't really aware of it because you've been living with it for so long. And it's not even you living it w with it for so long. It's most people living with it for so long. So it becomes a normal thing. And the thing about things that are normal is that if it's normal, it's accepted. And if it's normal and accepted, people don't really have a motivation to necessarily change it, even though
it's not serving their highest good or their most fulfilling life. something to marinate on with that. So that's like one example of a wounded place or another example of a wounded place is
Let's talk about not feeling chosen in love. So say that you had an experience where
Kind of going back to that first, going back to a couple podcast episodes back where I talked about spiritual spiritual truths about relationships and why modern dating is so hard. I talked about how I had that first love and I felt like I was second choice. So I didn't feel chosen, I didn't feel enough, and how that carried into being cheated on in a future relationship and attracting an abusive partner in the following relationship.
So that was a wound that I had, right? So I had this wound of not feeling chosen. And that's why before I started doing that self love and self-image work, right? Before I became aware of this, like think about right after I got out of that relationship, that toxic relationship, the abusive one, I was single for the first time in a while. And
There was the wound of not feeling chosen and there was a new wound of feeling like I was taken advantage of. I think that would be kind of what it would be. I didn't really plan on using this example, so I'm kind of thinking on the spot here. I didn't really I think that I had this feeling subconsciously that
I was taken advantage of that he presented himself in a way that seemed loving and healthy and things had switched up in the relationship. So I felt wronged. I felt taken advantage of and I felt mistreated, right? And so I had a wounded desire to prove him wrong. And it kind of was like proving everybody wrong. Like I felt so not chosen that I had this subconscious thing of.
wanting to show that I was special, that I was chosen, that I was desired. And so I was like constantly trying to validate myself online. A lot of us have been here, right? That's part of the reason why social media is the way that it is, right? Everybody's trying to show their highlight reel online. it's a common thing, right? The social media is the highlight reel.
You want to show people how great your life is because it makes you feel better about yourself. It's like, look at how great my life is. I can show this. Now I have the external validation. Everyone's congratulating me. Everyone's saying, wow, look at you. Like, you look great. You look beautiful. Congrats on your marriage. Congrats on your baby. Whatever, right? Social media has that underlying thing where it helps people feel validated for their life. So everybody is showing the best parts of themselves, but they're not showing the
Unless you're me, oversharing all of this stuff on your social media now, right? Like now I have this podcast and I have a lot of people on my Instagram page that I've grown up with and here I am airing out all of my subconscious wounds for everyone that I know. Unless you're doing something like that, the traditional way that people post on their own personal Instagrams is to show the best parts because people don't wanna show
their struggles. People don't want to feel vulnerable or feel less than because there's so much comparison on social media, right? So going back to the wounded desire, I used social media for that. I always wanted to make sure I looked really attractive, because I wanted to show, you know, the guys I was dating, my ex, whoever, that I was looking good, I was successful, I was happy, you know, he didn't ruin my life, whatever, right? Like so
That's a wounded desire. And so if you go deeper into that past the social media, well, why do you want to look so good? because if I look hot, then he's gonna realize he messed up. So there's a wounded ego-based desire, right? You wanna look good to prove something to somebody out of a lack. You don't wanna look good because you love yourself so much that you wanna take devotional care for your body and your health to feel your best and then
as a result, look your best. No, you want to be skinnier, you want to be prettier, because you want to feel desired because you have this deep seated wound that you felt undesired in one way, shape, or form by some type of guy or a a woman if you're a man listening to this. Or, you know, if it was the parent thing, right? So I don't think people realize how deep this stuff truly goes. And that's actually why I take all of my one-on-one clients through a seven layers deep exercise.
And it's so cool because I just talked to one of my clients the other day that I worked with a couple of years ago. And, you know, she's at a a more successful place in her life for what she's creating and building and the desires that she has in her life. She's at a higher place with that. And, you know, with more success sometimes comes more triggers as you grow and evolve. And so she just recently was went back to the seven layers exercise and she was like, Yeah, I
I went back and I realized that the reason I felt this way was because of this. And I would have never known that if it wasn't if I didn't force myself to go seven layers deeper and ask those questions. it's such a powerful exercise and just goes to show you that the way that our brain works, it doesn't
it does not bring those things to the surface because our ego doesn't want to to feel deflated, I guess. I don't know. I'm trying to think of the word. Our ego doesn't want to be deflated. It doesn't want to face those things that make us feel less than. It wants to build us up. So a lot of times our ego tries to hide the underlying motivations for why we do things.
Because it's so easy for us to justify, you know, I I want to look hot because I deserve to feel hot and I deserve to feel my best. And because I look hot, I want to show it off on social media. That's the ego explanation of why you're doing it. But your ego doesn't want to look at all that other stuff that makes you feel inside because it's uncomfortable. And your ego prioritizes comfort over discomfort and usually will prioritize more familiarity over getting out of the unfamiliar zone.
To ultimately go for something better, right? So that's like the ego, it's not always looking out for your long term best interest. So you gotta figure out how to work with the ego because you can't really get rid of it, but you can rewire it to work more in your ultimate favor. And if you are interested in that, I can definitely talk about that in a future episode as well. Cause that's a whole neuroscience psychology rabbit hole we could go down. So anyway, back to the wounded ego-based
desire stuff, right? It's really, really important that you're aware of the why behind why you're doing things because most of the time we are wanting things to fill a void, to to heal a wound from the outside in. But you can't heal anything from the outside in. It has to be from the inside out. Because as long as you are using stuff from the external to make you feel better, it's merely just a band-aid.
It's just a temporary fix and then you're going to get tired of it and need something additionally externally to make you feel better again. It's it's not sustainable and it is fleeting, honestly. It's kind of like when you get a sugar high and then you have a crash after. It's not that long term good feeling that you have when you're doing something from a sustainable place. It's quick hits and crashes to follow. So
it doesn't feel as great if you can kind of get used to the other point of view with the more sustainable feeling. So that's kind of I would say my definition on the ego-based wounded desire type of thing for now. And then going to the definition of the heart led desire. So now let's go into the definition of the heart led desire. So a genuine heart want.
This is really what you're supposed to be going after when we talk about manifestation and having a desire on your heart. the heart-led desire is not born from a wound and it's not born from the ego. It is born from your soul
It's a genuine love because your true self loves it. And so in the past I've touched on the true self, especially if you've listened to the intuition podcasts. without this your life will never be your own, following your internal guidance system, right? as I've talked in plenty of episodes about the societal contagions that have us doing things because we think we have to, right? A lot of that stuff
comes from things that aren't what we really want on a true self level. So it kind of goes back to the idea of when you were a kid, You did things because you really loved them. And then as you went to school and you were taught things of how the world works and you had other you started to take note of how people perceived you. You started becoming more of a shelter not sheltered, but you started to become more of a
watered down version of yourself to be more pleasing to others, to get that approval and to do the things that you felt you had to do in society. So you just kind of became less of the more authentic true self version of you. And so once you start doing this work, right? Because if you're listening to this podcast, you're gonna want to do this work. and if you don't for some reason,
if I'm not showing you why this is not the best possible thing to do for your ultimate happiness, success, and fulfillment, let me know and I'd be happy to talk through it with you more to see what the block is. But as you start to do more of this inner healing work and getting to the root of why you want things that you want and why you are the way that you are and why you feel the way that you do, you're going to
Peel back the layers of the societal programming, the societal influence, the things that you felt you had to do, and you're going to start to uncover who you really are at your core, who your true self really is. And the more that you get in touch with your true self, the more you're going to get in touch with those heart led desires. Because for the most part, it's very hard to get in touch with your heartled desires.
unless you're doing this type of work and unless you're intuitive. A lot of people are naturally intuitive, but they don't really have it trained. So it's very subtle and it's hard to really distinguish between other things, especially if you're feeling anxiety or other types of stress emotions, your nervous system's dysregulated. It's going to be very hard to connect with that inner guidance system. But we all have it. So, you know, the more that you connect with that, the more you'll also be able to uncover those heart led desires. But
A heart led desire is a genuine heart want that your true self, the version of you with no societal programming, no wounded things going on, if you take off all the armor, all the shielding, all the protective gear, and you just saw who you were in the fullest expression without any other outside influence, who you were built to be
an authentic, unconditional love type of place, you would have these specific types of heart led desires. And, you know, going back to our higher self episode, I have a episode on your higher self and the deeper meaning of what life's really all about, or something like that. So in that episode I talk about how your higher self it's
an extended version of you, I kind of interchange it with the term soul self because that's just a little bit more of the common term. I think a lot of these terms can get interchanged, misconstrued in a lot of ways, but and you know, there's also the piece where people think about your higher self being like the best version of you as a as a human. And I think there is a highest version of your human self, but your higher self is
Marea (28:26)
is like the energetic extension of you, like kind of having that bird's eye and more of like that soul self. So like
Your higher self is an extension of you, but it's not your human self. That's kind of like a different thing. Your true self is more like your human self, and then the higher self is more of like the soul version of you. I don't want it to get like too jumbled. So if you have questions on that and you want me to explain that deeper, let me know. So
If you listen to the Higher Self episode that I'm talking about, I talk about how your higher self planned for you to have a specific soul path for your life to follow and
What it does essentially. for example, my higher self had a path for me to go through all the things that I went through so that I can teach others through this business. So that was a heart led desire that was placed on my heart.
So your higher self puts these desires on as guidance points. It's kinda like following points on a map to a destination, for example, let's use the example you wanna go cross country. Say you're located on the East Coast, you're located in New York and you're doing a road trip to California, but
you wanna hit certain points along the way to have this journey get you to that destination in the most fulfilling way possible. You're probably gonna wanna hit, you know, I don't know, Yellowstone, for example, and like see the Yellowstone National Park. And maybe you wanna go see some beautiful stuff in I don't know, Montana or you wanna hit Texas or whatever, right? You wanna hit some stops along the way because you wanna get to the end
place of California with more knowledge and experience and wisdom from all these other places that you visited throughout the country, going cross country, right? So it's kind of like that same idea with your higher self. Your higher self is planting these heart led desires for you to feel a pull to go after. And those are intentionally designed to get you down your soul path that your higher self planned for you to have.
And your soul path is the most fulfilling path for you. It is the path that's going to lead you to the highest levels of happiness and fulfillment, even when it feels really hard sometimes. Like I will tell you right now, it's not always going to be. It's not the path of least resistance. Okay. I've talked about that in videos as well. If you follow me on Instagram or TikTok, it is not the path of least resistance. It is the path that has the resistance.
But it's also gonna be the thing that feels good to have done, right? You're gonna feel better after you do it. You're gonna feel more growth and expansion after, even when it feels hard sometimes in the process. So anyway, this path is the most fulfilling one. So you wanna follow your heart led desires is what I'm trying to say. And so let me see, is there anything else we wanna say about the heart led desires? I'm saying we because I
I'm channeling my higher self and source to make sure that I'm explaining this in the best way possible for you guys. So let's see, is there anything else we want to say about Heartlet Desires?
I think the only other thing to say is that the heart led desires are
benefiting your true self on a human level and they are benefiting your soul self on a higher self soul path level. So it's kind of like a double whammy of still
getting something that your human self is going to want and something that your soul wants. So it's not like you have to choose one or the other. It's benefiting both versions of you, your human and your soul, so to speak. So I think that is another thing to say. And again, your heart led desire is from a whole place. It's something that you want just because you were born with this desire in your heart for a very intentionally designed reason. But it's also your guidance system.
To your most fulfilling path and what you ultimately want anyway. So it's like it just all is like highest good on all angles type of vibe. So that's what I'll say about the heartlit desire and the ego-based desire. So, what I'm gonna go into next is the differences. I've obviously explained a good amount of the differences between the two, but what I wanna also go into a step
further with the differences is why both are important and why they both actually do serve your soul path. But I also want to help you distinguish like when it's time to drop the ego based ones and like when it's actually like derailing you. Because in today's day and age, there are unfortunately a lot of ways that we can easily get derailed off our soul path. And I think it's important to note those things because those are some things that I've learned from firsthand experience and
They just take you a longer route to get where you want to go. It's like the detour route. You gotta turn around to go back and you have to undo some stuff, or you know, you have to go through an experience that maybe you didn't really need to go through if you had learned this information sooner. So I'll let you in on my lessons and my stories so that you can just bypass the hard lesson, the detour for yourself.
so hopefully that helps you with that. And then also I want to give you guys just kind of like an intuitive process and a general process as well, if you don't have the trained intuition to spot the differences between a heartled and ego-based desire, so that you can start understanding this stuff more for yourself.
That's what we're gonna go into next. And so with that as well, as you guys know, if you've watched a podcast episode before, you know that I do free higher self channeled readings where I do intuitive energy reading. I connect with your higher self, I connect with source, and I connect with a lot of times I usually connect with your ego self as well. And I really try to distinguish what you actually want versus what you think you want. So even when you tell me like, hey
I really want this. Can you help me figure out what's blocking? I'll also usually tap into like what's the ego based want and what's the heart based want because that's important for you to get what you ultimately want, right? And so I want to do the best intuitive reading I possibly can by getting you the most important pivotal a information that I could give you. So if you are interested in a higher self channeled reading, I will be able to help you
distinguish the differences between your desires and let you know what's an ego-based desire and what's a heart-led desire. And that's gonna help you get a lot more clarity on what you're working towards to see if what you're working towards is what you think it's going to get you, or if you maybe want to pivot, do some of this inner work and there's something even better for you out there because it's always this or something better. So if you're interested in a complimentary higher self-channeled read, then
you can schedule that complimentary alignment call with me. It's going to be in the link in the show notes below.
Let's see. So what I wanna say is as humans, right, I think it's important to acknowledge the fact that we are humans and we are souls having a human experience, right? We're not humans having a spiritual experience. It's really more the other way around, right? We don't have to come to Earth. We chose to come here. We chose to be a human and we chose to
be in this type of world and this type of environment. So I think something I learned about this work is it can get be easy to get caught up in the soul stuff and forget to enjoy the process and have fun and be mindful of the fact that the most fulfilling path has a lot of challenges and your human deserves to be celebrated and supported.
Throughout those difficult times, and your human deserves to have fun too, because again, your soul came here for a human experience, so you deserve to enjoy that experience as well. Like Source wants you to have fun, to experience love and joy and fulfillment. So we need to have those things on a human level, right? So I think that's why your ego-based desires, they do serve you in some ways. And I would also say
your ego based desires can also leave clues to what your heart led ones really are, right? So like for example,
I had an ego-based desire in a way, right, to manifest my soulmate because I felt like I was incomplete on some level. So like before I started doing this work, right, like I really wanted I've always had this desire to meet my person, to meet have my happily ever after, right? So before I started doing this work, that was an ego-based desire because I felt incomplete. I felt not enough. And I thought that if I had
found my person and found my dream r relationship, then I would feel enough and I would be complete. So that's kind of like the wounded ego-based version of that. And then I would say that once I started doing this work, that left me clues to what my heart led desire for that was. And my heart led desire was to align with the person I was meant to on a soul level in this lifetime to one, help others.
you know, have more fulfilling relationships in life, you know, through this business and helping women with that and distilling all of the low frequency stuff we've been taught to center men and to think less of ourselves and to prioritize how men view us and treat us and all that stuff, right? Like there was a I had those ego based desires because my soul had a heart led desire to master relationships and to be able to help other women with that. But I also had a heart led desire to
attract my most fulfilling partner and my highest possible compatible match for this lifetime on a soul level and a human level as well. And the heart led desire in that is because I'm not doing it from a wounded place. I did it from a place of feeling whole and feeling enough and feeling complete within myself. And so then it became a heart led desire because relationships are
your biggest mirrors and like even on a soul level there always is that complementary energy that you feel fulfilled with. And so I think relationships can be very expansive and very joyful and fulfilling. And there's a heart led desire within that, you just have to separate that from the wounded place. So it's like the heart led intuitive nudge to
align with your divine union. And there's also the craving of like, I really want somebody because I don't feel enough right now or I'm not happy with my life right now. So it's really important to distinguish the differences between those two things. But all of that to say is that ego based wounded desires leave clues for the heart led desires. So that's
One thing I wanted to say with that. And then the other thing I wanted to say as to why ego-based desires do serve your soul path is because it's like the reward for doing the hard stuff. Because like I said before, when it comes to ha the human brain and how we are as humans, we really prioritize comfort and familiarity and
And so I mean, hello, that's why everyone's on their phones and watching Netflix and living on autopilot a lot of the times because comfort is very easy and so we sometimes need a little bit of a motivator to do the hard stuff. And so that's typically what the ego based desires are for, to really kind of get us on our butt and get us moving, especially before
we get into the spiritual world and we're doing this in our work and we're getting connected to our heart led desires. If we're not at any of those places yet and we're still, you know, asleep, so to say, or running on limited belief programming and programming passed down to us, you know, societal and parental programming So when your soul,
Going back to the higher self journey, our higher self plants all these heart-led desires, these plots to get us from New York to California, for example, right? Going back to that example, your higher self also knows your human self and what your human self is going to be motivated by to go after those things for when you're not connected to the heart-led stuff yet and you're still operating from more of the ego brain. So
That's why the ego-based desires can also be serving your soul path, because, you know, for example, if I didn't have the ego-based desire to want to feel chosen and attract my soulmate, manifest my soulmate, all of that stuff, I would have never gotten into the spiritual world. I would have never been so committed to my own self-love and self-image healing journey if I didn't have this ego-based desire to attract that in my life. And so
In doing that, that's what led me to the spiritual world. My human needed some type of ego based motivation to do that hard healing work because it's hard, it's uncomfortable, and it takes a lot of commitment and discipline to be consistent with it enough to get to the subconscious level and make identity level shifts that will stay with you in the long term. It involves making hard decisions, right? Having to
you know, let somebody go that you really wanted to be with, but they're not giving you what you want and now your new self love and self image identity is like, okay, it's time for me to let this go because this person's not giving me what I want and I know I deserve better. Those are hard decisions, right? It's it's hard to let go of a person that you thought you were going to be with. It's hard to show up when you start really liking a guy and he ghosts you. It's hard to not go back into the old identity.
All of this stuff is hard. And so sometimes your human really needs that ego-based desire to get momentum on that thing and stay committed to it. And so that's where the ego-based desires really come in handy. And I would say the same goes for building a business, right? Like a lot of times people will say building a business, especially a spiritual business like this, it's really challenging. It is not easy and it is going to require you to
be okay with less for a little while as you're building and growing, right? Like even when you're not in a spiritual business, right? Because I'm in a spiritual business and I know a lot of people in spiritual businesses. But think about somebody like Alex Hermose and Layla Hermosy. Like those are some like non-spiritual people that I've seen actually have some more spiritual principles than I think they really realize. But think about Alex Hermozy. He had this ego based desire
To make money, right? He wanted to make money and he wanted to be successful out of an ego-based place. Does he necessarily admit that? No, I don't think he does, at least from what I've seen, but he had a heartled desire to do this stuff, right? It was part of his sole plan. But at the same time, he needed to be at a place where he didn't have money, right? I'm pretty sure he was like sleeping on the floor or something, and he like invested all his savings in this one thing.
And he didn't know if it was gonna work out. I kind of forget the ins and outs of his story, but he had to do something very difficult that he probably wouldn't have done if he didn't have that ego based desire to have that success and to make massive amounts of money. So that was an ego based desire that he needed to have in order to fulfill his soul path. So it's kind of like stuff like that.
I think another thing that I've personally struggled with and I know a lot of women struggle with is being in love with how you look. A lot of society has taught us to
Tell us that we're not pretty enough, that we're not skinny enough. And so there's, and when you tie it into the centering men thing, it's like you're doing all of this stuff because you feel like you have to to get a man to be accepted, to be validated, to be loved and appreciated in this world, right? To be chosen. So there's that ego based desire to be chosen. So you do things to try to look prettier, to look skinnier, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But if you feel those ways, right, if there's anybody out there that
wants to look thinner and wants to look prettier and feels like, you know, there's a better version of themselves out there. I'm not saying to like you want to completely change how you look and get like a completely different plastic surgery thing. I'm not necessarily talking about that, but if you know that like there is a version of yourself that is more conventionally attractive, for example, that is more fit, maybe like more lean, more toned, more strong.
or maybe, you know, you want your hair to be healthier or your skin to be clearer and more vibrant. things like that. If you know that there's like a better version of yourself that you desire to be externally, that's the wounded ego based desire that's motivating you to go achieve that from the inside out. So you have the ego based desire to do that from the outside in with working out and doing, you know, eating a certain way and
you know, maybe following a diet plan or whatever. But there's a deep down a heartled desire for you to love yourself right now at the deepest levels that you start cultivating this beauty from the inside out. You start loving yourself more, you start perceiving yourself as beautiful. And then in turn you start to shift at a cellular level, like I was talking about in the beginning of the episode.
But then you also start exercising and eating healthy because it's a devotional care for yourself because you love yourself so much, going back to the previous self-love episode, see how things tie together, right? You love yourself so much that you want to, you know, be the best version of yourself that you could be. So you end up eating healthy and working out anyways, but you do it because you love yourself, not because you need to look thin to attract this guy. And so it's like that ego-based desire is kind of like the
hint the clue to your heart led desire, if that makes sense. So that is why the ego based desires do serve your soul path. And that kind of brings me to the point where
When do you stop following those ego-based desires, right? When do they become problematic and actually take you off path? Because the way that I just described it is that they're still keeping you on path. And I would say you need to drop those ego-based ones when it's not serving you anymore and it's taking you really far out of alignment and
I would say the best way to know that, the way to catch it the quickest, the way to notice it the fastest is cultivating your intuition and being really connected to your internal guidance system and also healing your nervous system and being really, really in touch with your body. Most of us are so disconnected from our bodies. Like we don't even notice a level one issue in our body. We don't start to feel the pain until it's at a level six or seven. So
That's the stuff that's going to like really, really help you reroute the second you start to notice that stuff. And that's why I love intuition because I'm able to see is this ego desire benefiting me or not? And okay, it is right now, but what's the heart led desire? Okay, this is the heart led desire. That's good for me to know. So I can still like kind of jive with this ego based one, but only to this certain point. And then I need to really focus on the heart led one if I wanna pursue this the full route.
Like intuition helps you with all of that stuff. And again, I can do this for you. So if you're ever curious with working with me, I have extremely trained my intuition at a mastery level where I've trained it to be extremely accurate and precise ninety-nine point nine nine percent of the time. So I can really help you with that because of the knowledge I've cultivated and my ability to master my intuition. I can help you with that because
A lot of the 101 clients that I do work with, they are starting to get in touch with their intuition. But I do find that, I mean, similarly, this happened to me. They get the intuitive hit, but they're not really sure how to translate it, right? It's like learning a language. say like you don't know French and somebody speaking French to you. You can kind of be like, all right, they're angry, they're upset, they don't really like this, but you don't know exactly what they're saying, like what they're angry about.
That is kind of like the early stages of cultivating and developing your intuition. It's like, okay, I know that this is wrong, but I don't really know why, and I don't really know what I'm supposed to be doing instead. That's where I come in as the intuitive coach to help you guide you on that highest, most fulfilling timeline. I can help you decode this stuff at more deeper advanced levels. So if you're ever interested in that, then send me an email
apply to the complimentary alignment call, let's get on a call and make sure that we're in alignment to work together because I will only take on clients going forward now that I am the best possible person that they can work with. Like their soul specifically wants them to work with me and I can get them to a hundred percent resolve. If I'm not the best person for you, I will let you know. So definitely do the complimentary alignment call first and then I'll let you know if we're good to move forward and what that would even look like. So anyway.
That's the intuitive way to see when to drop your ego based desires and when they're not serving you anymore. And then I would say when it comes to not necessarily the intuitive way, emotions are a really great indicator. It's like a flagging system of when you're out of alignment. Start to notice when you feel a perceived negative emotion. So
If you're feeling anxious, if you're feeling sad, if you're feeling angry, frustrated, disappointed, taken advantage of, judged, any of those things, those out of balance type of emotions are indicators that something is off. It could be your perception of the situation, but regardless, something is off that needs to be looked at. And so if you're feeling happy, fulfilled, content, proud, confident, loved, supported, connected,
Those are all those higher frequency emotions, those indicate alignment for you. So from an emotional based place, start to notice your emotions. And if you don't really know exactly what you're feeling, just ask yourself, What does this feel like? And you'll just start to really like understand and just play around with it. Like literally write down like the top 10 emotions because you can like probably Google that or something. Because
A lot of times we think that we're sad, but maybe we're angry. So like you need to start kind of playing around and getting to know what your emotions are. But emotions are going to indicate whether you're in alignment or you're out of alignment. And so that's something you can start doing. So, like, for example, people that are doing something from an ego based place, they'll start to feel out of alignment after a certain amount of time. And that's when they need to really look
at the wound and start to heal that and get on the heart led path. So for example, you have that desire to be thin, right? From that ego based place. While the heart led desire is to love yourself and cultivate that love from within. And then you'll be taking care of yourself from a devotional place that your body will start to shift anyway and look how you want it to look. When you're doing it too far down the ego wounded based place, you're going to probably start to feel
I would say some health problems. So say you're dieting and you start to feel really tired, really lethargic, you feel weak, or you're exercising so much that your body constantly feels sore and beat up and tired and tight. Those are indicators that you're out of balance and you're trying to do too much from an external ego-based place and you need to get back into center. So that's an example of that. And then I would say
you know, from the relationship perspective, if you have that ego based desire to get into a relationship, maybe you're trying to force something. You think that this guy's the one for you and you have such a wounded desire to be chosen and to be with your dream partner and you just are so rigidly thinking it has to be this guy 'cause that's you've never felt this way before. Or, you know, maybe
you secretly have that subconscious ego thing where it's like he's hard to get and you wanna kind of get that challenge to prove to your ego that you are enough and you are special. You know, like kind of going back to that stuff I talked about in the dating episode. You'll know when you're trying to force something, right? This guy's not giving you what you want and you just think so much that it has to be him. And you're feeling hurt. You're feeling misunderstood. You're feeling treated like less
Than what you know you should be treated as. Those are all indicators that you're out of alignment and you're trying to force something from a wounded ego-based place. When you're following the divine union path from a heart-led place, you're gonna have the mindset of this or someone better. And you're gonna be like, all right, it's not working out with this guy. I know I deserve better, so I'm gonna take a step back, focus on me, and I know the right guy is gonna come my way at the right time. That's how you know, okay, I'm following this ego-based based path.
Too far, I need to step back, and now this is my opportunity to do that inner healing work and align with my heart-led desire. So those are kind of the examples of when the ego-based desires are no longer serving you, and when it's time to get on your heart-led desire path. And I also explained it like an intuitive perspective, and then the emotional type of perspective is like a general process you can follow when you haven't cultivated your intuition.
Or honestly, this is probably like the first step for you to start cultivating your intuition on your own. So those are the two processes I gave you. I also just to kind of summarize, because now we are in an hour. I always do an hour on these podcasts. I just wanna like go really in deep with you guys. I'm such a long form content type of girl. I love to just go deep into this stuff. That is why my
I have my Scorpio in the tenth house, which is the house of career. It's like I love to go deep on the transformation stuff. That, you know, is my heartlit desire, right? This is my oxygen. It's what I'm so passionate about. And I want to help you guys as best as I can. So we talked about the heartlet desire. We talked about the ego-based wounded desire. We talked about the differences and why both are important and how they serve your soul path. But then we talked about when the ego based desires, how to spot when it's no longer.
serving your path and it's actually taking you off path and how to readjust and pivot and get back into alignment. And ultimately you want to be manifesting and following your soul path because that is the highest path to fulfillment. So if you are familiar with my work, it's always about reaching your full potential, which is becoming more of your true self and mastering all the gifts that your soul gave you in this lifetime. And it's also about becoming the highest version of yourself. So
you know, that's really combining the soul with the human and becoming, you know, the best version of yourself that you were meant to be in this lifetime without the wounds, without the feeling incomplete, without the societal programming, right? That true authentic version of yourself. And then you're consciously creating your highest timeline, right? That's that soul path. That's that heart led desire path. Because that's a path you really want to be on because even though it's not easy all the time, it is the most fulfilling and it is the most
sustainably fulfilling, like going back to that like the artificial highs and lows, right? It's like when you go out drinking for the night and it's fun in the moment and you feel like shit the next day. There are ways to just feel really good all the time without those crashes and doing it from, you know, a whole place. And that's what this work is all about. And so I help women manifest by consciously creating their highest timeline. I'm gonna help you
get to that full thing. Like we are not settling here. We're not shrinking. We're not just taking the easier route because we secretly don't know if we could do the full out version or, you know, if we're gonna upset somebody along the way. Like I help you uncover all of that because everybody deserves to follow their highest, most fulfilling timeline. And everybody deserves to feel that abundant, sustainable, ever growing
beautiful feeling of unconditional love for self and for others and for abundance and for
ultimate fulfillment and joy and satisfaction in every single area of life. And that is what I help you do on this podcast. And that is what I help you do in my coaching, in my membership, program and on this podcast. And in my higher self-channeled reads, right? That's what I'm always helping you to do. That's what Maria Manifest is all about. So I hope you really enjoyed this episode on ego-based desires versus heart-led desires. And
