May Edition: We've been lied to about self-love.
♉️ In the spirit of Taurus season, there is no better time to do a deeper dive into self-love. Why might you ask?
- Taurus is an Earth sign which emphasizes grounding and stability. The best way to ground yourself is by creating a solid foundation with you, yourself, and did I mention, you?
- Our realities work like a mirror. Where anything external is a reflection of our internal world.
- Hence, a solid foundation for the relationship you have with yourself should be the building block for everything else in life.
- Taurus is ruled by Venus - most commonly known as the planet of love. The funny thing about love is, we often seek it in others, but rarely do the inner work to cultivate that love within ourselves.
- And if we want our love life to truly flourish, self-love must be mastered first.
- This is why my Love Energetics Curriculum for Soulmate Manifestation positions self-love as one of the core principles and is something we heavily work through before moving into the dating and relationship sections.
đź’« And with that, I hope this convinces you that this Taurus season is the perfect time for you to lock in on your self-love era.
đź’Ś Now, in this edition of the Love Energetics Editorial, I want to help you to do some energetic spring cleaning in your mind:
🤯 We’re going to debunk the false information we’ve been taught about self-love and dive into what it really means.
You’ll leave this email with a tangible action plan on how you can start leveling up your self-image and unconditionally loving yourself more starting today.
Have you ever seen the “Treat Yo Self” episode on the show Parks & Recreation? Essentially, it’s about how the characters on the show had a special day to treat themselves and indulge in whatever they wanted. Whenever they didn’t want to do anything work-related, they would use the excuse “Treat Yo Self” and go do something else they’d rather do.
This is basically what we’ve been taught self-love is - treating ourselves. The act of doing something that provides short-term satisfaction.
The tricky thing about this is, an action that is perceived as a treat is rarely something that is going to help us progress towards our long-term goals.
✨ Long-term fulfillment requires less impulsive indulgence, and more discipline.
That’s what I’ve spent years learning the hard way.
Self-love is self-respect.
It’s discipline. It will require you to do something that feels challenging in the moment, but you know is serving you in the long run.
- In love, that can look like breaking things off with the guy who doesn’t respect your boundaries. Or ignoring the 1am “you up?” text.
- In health, that can mean showing up for your workout even though you had a long day at work and just want to veg out on the couch while watching netflix.
- In career, that can mean having the uncomfortable conversation with your boss to advocate for yourself during your year-end review, or when a promotion opportunity arises.
One of my favorite sayings that has helped me put real self-love into perspective is: “do the thing that feels good to have done”.
Society has taught us that self-love is self-sabotage. But real self-love is showing up for the future version of you.
And since I have made this shift, I’ve never felt happier and more fulfilled in my life - and trust me, I have experienced some deep lows in my battle of self-love vs. self-sabotage.
And to top it all off, this type of self-love is how you manifest the big things in life…and keep them long-term. By showing up as the future version of you who already has the thing.
So you may be wondering - ok, so if I want to achieve my goals, manifest my soulmate, or get that promotion, I need to be ok with feeling discomfort and having discipline in my day-to-day life. But how does that relate to self-love?
🦋 This is how I got it to click for me. Say you decide to say “f it” and go watch Netflix on the couch instead of going to the gym. Then, you go to bed (or wake up the next day) feeling guilty and beating yourself up for not following through on what you said you were going to do.
That guilt and negative self-talk is the opposite of self-love. And it shows your brain that you don’t honor your commitments to yourself. Think of it like if you decided to no-show a get-together with your friend. Would she feel loved? Appreciated? Probably not.
On the flip side, say you decide to push through the discomfort and go to the gym. You tell yourself that you’ll just walk for a little first and see if you feel like doing your planned run after. You get to the gym and walk for 5 minutes, and now that resistance has passed. You decide to run after all. Now, you go to bed feeling proud of yourself.
✨ See how in the long run - the commitments we make to ourselves, the boundaries we uphold, and the ways we show up for the future us all reflect a version of ourselves that has high self-love? That’s how you become HER. The radiant and confident version of you who is lit up in life.
And that’s when life starts to get really good.
I hope this opened you up to a new perspective on what self-love really is. And I challenge you to go forward the rest of this week noticing when you do show up for yourself versus when you don’t. Awareness is the first step.
Action Plan:
-
Whenever you want to waiver from what you know your future self would do, notice the voice in your head that tries to stop you from following through.
-
Then, ask yourself - “which action would feel good to have done?”.
-
Feel the feeling of how good it’ll feel when it’s done and let that guide you into the long-term fulfillment action.
Let me know if you try this and how it works for you! 🩵
In other news, I have an exciting announcement that my newsletter girlies are the first to know!
I have just launched a new offering!
❤️‍🔥 The Lucky in Love Activation 🦋
A highly tailored, transformational 1:1 energetic session to align you with soulmate love.
This isn’t just a coaching call. It’s a personalized energetic recalibration to shift you from feeling stuck, confused, or “unlucky” in love…to becoming that woman who is effortlessly prioritized, miracles magnetize to, and high value men pursue.
In this 60-minute private session, I will provide a blend of intuitive insight, subconscious reprogramming, and teach you the specific energetic embodiment tools you need that will help you clear the blocks holding you back from the deep, extraordinary love you desire.
I created this because I realized there was a gap that many dating coaches and therapists tend to miss…
✨ You don't need more dating advice...you need an energetic shift.
✨ You've done the inner work—but love still feels like the missing piece.
✨ This is for the woman who is ready to break the cycle.
For the woman who knows she’s meant for soulmate-level love and is ready to step into that frequency now.
The Lucky in Love Activation is still rooted in the core principles I teach in my Love Energetics Curriculum - the process that helped me overcome a lifetime of toxic dating patterns, thinking I was permanently unlucky in love, to ultimately becoming the high value version of myself and manifesting my soulmate (who I’m marrying in 4 months!!).
But the difference between the 6 month curriculum and this activation is that it’s meant to bring even faster, more effective transformation. Especially if you’ve been doing the work on your own and are still stuck and not sure what you’re doing wrong.
You can reply to this email with any questions you have or click here to schedule your session. I can’t wait to help you thrive in your love life!
Happy Manifesting!
